I'm a newbie
So. Planning lots of trips over the many many years to come but to start (and continue) who on here is on the island of Ireland. Would love your wonderful recommendations. Have spent far too long on park4night, have favourite-d too much and I just need some good honest suggestions. Small sites, wild sites, anything goes sites 🤣. We are basically set up for off grid (besides the normal water and 💩 drop off/top up). Hell if you offer us a field with a view we will do the same 🙂

In the hope of net getting banned or sent to Coventry.
Motorhome craic are a friendly bunch and they have an app for not many £.

Motorhome Parking Ireland is an excellent app we've been using over the last 4 weeks - ferry home tomorrow, boohoo! Get the paid version, hundreds of locations for less than a fiver.
Many of the viewing points on the Wild Atlantic Way are possible stopovers, sometimes have toilets and water (but no waste/rubbish disposal). We've also used some of the Waterways Ireland sites, mostly following the river Shannon. Can buy a smartcard that gives full access to water, elsan, showers etc.
In 4 weeks only stopped on paid campsites twice, for 2 nights, to do some laundry.
However have noted quite a few height barriers, more so than our last visit.

You could probably spend a week pottering your way around Lough Erne. Lots of options for stopping overnight.
Failing that you could trundle down the Ards peninsula 😂

I'm going to the south on the 13th of June.

My only concern is the price of booze.
It seems that they have put it up megga - more than Scotland - recently.
Does anyone know how much booze you are allowed to take INTO Southern Ireland?

What's your MAUW?:roflmto:

No checks or restrictions. But we didn't notice it being more expensive, although not big drinkers. Pints of Guinness same price as we paid in Scotland before we crossed, varying of course on the drinking establishment.

There is a minimum price for alcohol in Ireland so it more expensive than north of the border.
