Could you please post on their website that it is awful,
snowing, floods and hurricane and no horse to eat on the Algarve!!!

Hi everyone, anybody along the coast on the Algarve give us a heads up on weather conditions there and en-route to there from Burgos area, many thanks.

Please believe me when I say that there are still places where you can stay in the Algarve that are not always packed with vans.

I reckon that the quieter places are those where there are no facilities, some way away from shops and restaurants. ;)

No water, no dumping place and no electricity. Only suitable for Rufty Tufty Off-Site motorhomers.

Where I am at the moment is currently fairly quiet, although it has been slightly crowded on one or two nights.

There are six "regulars" who stay here for quite long periods every "season" and then there are the "through flow" who visit a night or two and then move on.

I love it here with the views and the peace and quiet.

I can last about a week or so before I have to go and collect water and fresh supplies of croissants and milk etc.

It is a good job my motorhome has an engine and wheels. I can drive it to fetch what I need and visit other TPA's. (y)

TPA = Tolerated Parking Area.

Right... I have to get out of bed and get going now. A trip out today. I need to restock my sausages, bacon and pork pies... i might even have a Geante Burger Ranch burger for being a good boy.

Probably better to enjoy the west coast and inland. South coast has so many vans everywhere, we failed to get into Manta Rota.

Having decided to return north through Portugal as weather looks decidedly iffy in Spain, we've dropped anchor for the night at Villa Real de Sta Antonio. Looks like we got the last space at about 3.30pm and have seen quite a number of vans looking since.

Lots of brits in Portugal this year, but they have brought the cold with them.
can't they bugger off back and take the cold back with them.

Yes - N37d11.930' W007d24.909' (sorry can't find deg on keyboard - I know it's there somewhere) Rua de Angola.

£4.50 per night, electric extra. Bread van calls every morning about 9.00. On fairly industrial site overlooking the river and across to Spain. Very pleasant touristy town within a few minutes walk.

Don't send any more vans down here !!!!
All the proper Aires are chockers.
Vila Real, Manta Rota and Silves.
Also please note: Portimao aire is no longer. Ferraguda a no no,
and the GNR are on the ball (no chairs and tables out).
