Thinking of getting Alexa Dot to use in my motorhome instead of streaming from my phone through Bluetooth speaker. The 240v power supply feeds 12v to the Dot but I can’t find any guidance info if you can power direct from a cigarette style 12v outlet in the van.

I use an Echo Dot 3rd Gen on our van and power it via a USB 5v to 12v power adapter I bought from Amazon.
It's mounted under an overhead locker.

Getting better month by month.
Can’t seem to link Amazon. Search 5 - 12v echo dot adaptor. This is what we use. Great piece of kit. Down to £9:99

I have a usb 5v to 12v from Amazon but if you go above 3/4 volume on the dot it cuts out. Interesting to see others work better so I will try a branded one.
Echo Auto may perform better
