Unfortunately, sold out online now, but should be in the shops from 14 February.

I guess too many Funsters had already ordered last Saturday. ;)

How much does it cost to run a month?

just the cost of data on your SIM which will be a few pence a week You monitor it yourself. The Aldi one is not particularly cheap and there are other proven ones already out there for the same price or less.
Hi IRHP any reccomedations ?

with the tech used in these trackers, they are only a gimic/gadget and will not prevent theft. Easy to detect, block and rip out

Better than nothing at all though.
Like wheel clamps etc.... If they want it badly enough they'll get it.

Also a trickle charger and a lovely extendable bamboo cutlery tray.

Anyone know if the Aldi unit is pro-active or does it rely on the owner noticing vehicle has disappeared?

Just had a look at the manual and the battery life of this is pretty awful. It would need to be hard wired to an engine or leisure battery for it to be of any permanent use.

You're not wrong. 72 hours? :(

The GPS TK905 has about 3 x months battery life on standby, much more flexible and acceptable. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I also saw this in the manual:

"Check that the location you have chosen for the tracker is not obstructed too much for the tracker to receive a signal. Locations like these would be: inside the glove compartment, under the steering"

So you need to leave it out in the open to receive GPS signal?? Rather defeats the object of having a covert tracker.

Just bought a Winnes GPS Tracker TK905 £42.99 on Amazon HERE. I have to say I'm well impressed so far for the money and had no problem setting it up. I know it's not an all singing & dancing jobbie but for the money it's another line of defence.

Plenty of ice available but might not fit in your glass as it’s a third of the size of London😂

Mel has one and seems to rate it highly. Looks like you can hard wire it in so eliminating battery issues.
