Aldi are selling some motoring stuff today, bottle jack, air compressor and OBD ll reader. It was the OBD ll that caught my eye as might be useful, but not sure ??
Is it likely to tell me much useful on a euro 4, 2.8 jtd ???
Advice appreciated

I have an OBD reader and it does clear any fault dash lights you may get that are not serious to enable you to carry on your journey, or get you to a garage if more serious.
Well worth having one imo?

That is the same one ( badge job ) as I have.. Available from fleabay for about a tenner
Works very well, and has got myself and a few other folk out of a trip to a dealer !! ( and yes, I used it on my Miller which was a 2.8 JTD Euro 4 compliant )

Here you go

I could go on as there are dozens of em !

All do the same job :) and on all you can reset faults

Much depends on how deep you need to go. I eventually bought one for the Mercedes, with dedicated PID and Ability to Reset an SRS, Which had been disturbed by removing a seat. One of the better ones for the Ducato, I found, was Multiecusacan (Paid Version) which loads to my laptop and uses a dongle. It was that that "sorted" my EGR issues. (I still had it to replace though).

What was the make of the one you bought for your Merc, and did you need an 38 to16 pin adaptor to use it?
