Thought it necessary to fess up and explain.
Having briefly owned a Garmin 760LMTD (Aldi special buy at £199.99) and found it had a few issues including updating etc. took it back for a refund. No faults with Aldi returns policy.
Looked around for a suitable alternative but couldn't find what wanted or wait for next offering from TomTom etc.
Heard via MH forum that Aldi where selling off any remaining stock of the Garmin 760 so contacted Aldi for any stock along our route this weekend. Found one not far away reduced to £149.99.
This one updated without any issues and appears ok. Bit odd given previous issues but much better price.
There are a few left in places if anyone is prepared to do a bit of research.
