Bought a bottle jack on Amazon for £34 and have just gone into Aldi and noticed a 5t bottle jack for £9.99 , reduced from £12.99. Bought one , has anyone else tried it.

Yeah I bought it for £12.99 and took it back cos it was crap. They've now sold it to you with 3 quid off.

I loves a bargain me. Just about to jack up the bus to get a measurement , so sounds like I could be making a claim on my life insurance. But if it doesn’t lift at least I’m still alive and walking to Aldi for a refund.

You were being polite with your description of it. On reflection when it said 5000 kg max lifting , there must have been a decimal point stuck in somewhere , I didn’t see.
Only suitable for jacking up a wheel barrow and changing The wheel?
Fully refunded.

We bought one a few years ago for a similar price and used it to take the strain off the tow ball when we were parked up for a while and had 3 heavy mountain bikes leveraging off the back. Probably not needed but at that price worthwhile and also saved buying rear steadies
