First MH with alde. No hot water, doesn’t seem to be any heating. Tried a few things. On hook up. No gas on. Just a shakedown couple of days on new van. On new command system. Any ideas appreciated. Do I need gas on to ‘kick start’ things? Are my settings not right? Worked fine at handover. I must be missing something but don’t know what.

Fuse?
My Alde heating is managed from the panel (ours is a 2009 model so guess it will be older than yours). All very simple (once you get the hang of it). Choose hot water 'on' for a quick 30 minute blast to provide the hot water. If the gas isn't on it should work from the electric hook up, but it will take longer to heat the water.

The heating will work off the thermostat but I guess you will not be using that?

The shower button (hot water) must be switched on. Push the + button (second one down) once and it will show half on, push twice and full on. I use it on half in the summer.
That will switch on the hot water.

Genius! Nearly burned my bloody fingers off! Guess that should sort the heating too?

The heating will work if you exceed the inside temperature. Push the top button plus or minus to set the heating temperature. It doesn’t come on much in the summer unless it’s really cold outside..
If you’re not on EHU, press the gas button.

we have an older Alde system , but the shower symbol gives a hot water boost on ours turning off heating

On ours we have no option not to have hot water, it will be a good thing if now an option to turn water on and off in summer particularly 👍

Lucky you Mike! I've had over 6 months of Alde problems, but hopefully I'll get it sorted at Alde in Northampton on Monday after a three month wait!

Hi folks, is there a way of resetting the temp reading for the system. Ours says its about 12 degrees hotter inside the van than it really is. Does anyone know where the sensor might be so at least we can cool it a bit?

Depending on your control panel there is a compensation setting for the read out but 12 deg might be too much for it.

I have the 3010 panel, that only allows for water on all the time or boost. Alde were at the Peterborough show so I asked if it was possible to turn it off completely, reduce the temperature or even change the panel for the newer version which does allow the turn off function.
"Alde says no".

On my pilote the alde thermostat was on a duct next to the outside wall above the hab door beside the control panel , the thermostat was picking up heat from the heating pipes when the heating was on or picking up heat from the outside wall when the sun was shining so throwing the stat miles out , my solution was to move the stat an inside wall behind my tv , now the thermostat is 100% correct
