Alde - Inside / Outside Temperature Offset Settings. I know how to set them / it, but how do I decided what figures to use?

From the Alde web site;

Temperature Offset
If the temperature in the control panel does not correspond the actual temperature, it can be adjusted by ±5°C. Also applies to outdoor temperature.

Ours is notoriously inaccurate even after fixing by Alde themselves; what idiot places the sensor right by the door when building a motorhome? My guess is that was how far the cable would reach

Ours is even worse. It’s by the door AND on the bulkhead with oven on it. It frequently reaches 35c+ In the van when cooking 🤔🤔🤣

I thought the offset thing was to allow you to, for example, have it at 20 in the main area when the actual sensor only read 18, so you can set a 2c offset?
