I know this has been exhaustively discussed but I can,'t remember the precise help. I want to use the Alde 3000 to heat up the Motorhome whilst driving but not the hot water and do I need to have water in the fresh water tank anyway?

A lot of Alde systems have a heat exchange system from the engine...

My Rapido had one...... it`s a knob under the drivers side of the dashboard...

Open it up and heat from the engine water system transfers to the Alde heating and works it`s way round the radiators...

Does not get red hot like when the heating is on gas or elec.... but does get warm and takes less time to heat up when you are on site..(y)

No you don't need any water in the fresh tank for the heating to work but yes you do if you want to arrive at a destination with hot water as well as a nice warm van.
