alde heating packed up in spain help needed please

All our alde heating has packed in on us today, does anybody no any alde heating repairs around gibraltar please, any help would be much appreciated.

Yes I checked the header tank which is the one with the max and min markers

Looking on the Alde website the nearest service centre is

What are the symptoms (other than no heating!)?

Is the pump running?

Is the boiler firing?

Does the thermostat ‘click’ when you move the dial?

In the meantime it might be worth checking the heating fuse in the vans main fuse board, also try disconnecting and re connecting the power.

we dont have hot water or heating, when I switch on the gas it clicks and then it clicks again about 10 seconds later then the red light comes on

Just go into the menu and scroll down to “installed accessories” then enter, then scroll down again till you see the recirculating pump symbol with 230v inside and check the box hasn’t been ticked, if it has, untick it and it should fire up on gas, if it’s got a tick in it, it will only work on hook up.
Don’t ask me how I found that out!!

Hi we are on gas. it does not have a readout its the one with 3 sliders

It could possibly be the gas regulator which isnt allowing sufficient gas to fire it up. I had the same issue with my Alde heating on a previous van. I changed everything before checking my gas supply. Good luck.

Ok sorry I’m only familiar with the new one with the screen, mine was firing and because the water was getting hot by not pumping out and was shutting down, hence that’s what made me think the pump want running on 12v. I’m sure others are more knowledgable as I’m a relative newbie, I hope it’s a quick cheap fix for you. Ady

Hi, I had similar problem recently. I had gas supply ok to the cooker, so did not think it was a gas issue. However, eventually found out the problem was the alde burner was not receiving enough gas due to a faulty regulator. This can be checked by turning alde off to reset it, lighting cooker gas rings, then starting Alde Heating. If the gas supply is at fault, the cooker gas flames will noticeably reduce. When our Alde heating failed 3 years past there was only 2 agents in the whole of Spain and neither were within 150 miles .
That may have changed since then but we couldn't get anyone to even look at it .
Truma repair centres were plentiful , one of the reasons we have decided not to have Alde system in our next motorhome as we spend most of our away time in Spain and Portugal

Hi from Devon uk.

I had problems with my alde system.
Go to the boiler, black cover on top of the boiler just clips on,
Remove cover, at the back you will see two fuses, the old glass type.

Check fuses if no spare, wrap fuse with small amount of silver paper.

tried it still didnt fire up
