Our 2022 plan will see us spend 6.5 months on the continent. We’re going to spend almost 3 months exploring Romania, Croatia, Albania and Montenegro (which helps with the 90-day Schengen rules) before descending into Greece.

Comfort won’t cover us for Albania and Montenegro. Has anyone travelling these two counties and, if so, what did you do about insurance?

Many thanks (y)

Short update for us oldies!...Saga does cover Montenegro but not Albania it would seem!...however, they will also apply to the underwriters to get a green card and cover Turkey, which can be confirmed prior to accepting any insurance quotation. So any other solutions not discussed on these threads on insurance in Albania welcome!

Just looking back on these posts. Did anyone get decent comprehensive insurance for Albania, Montenegro, etc? We're hopefully heading that way Feb/Mar time. With the NFU so got third party at least. Thanks

An update. Caravan Guard will insure you through Montenegro & Albania for an extra £26 (for a months green card), which at least let's you get down the coast to Greece. However their breakdown doesn't cover you through those 2 countries!

I'm coming onto this late. Is it still the case that Caravan Guard will cover you for Montenegro and Albania? If so is it fully comp? Thanks.
