many many years! since I was a kid
from about £200 for a car type thatcham alarm up through to £600 ish for a motorhome specific alarm

which to choose depends on many things including budget, value, piece of mind and insurance company

check out Eddy at Vanbitz, not the cheap end of the spectrum but you get what you pay for. I've recently had the Growler fitted and am very happy with it. My wife is especially impressed with the fact that it self diagnoses problems as she keeps testing it -- yes it is very loud darling !

I haven't used him but only hear good review about van blitz so worth giving them a call.
