Alarm/security system?

Hi,

We are looking for an alarm system for our Autocruise Starburst, can anyone suggest a good make/installation which will keep our year old motorhome safe.

We have 2 yorkies so a system which takes pets into account would be good.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

We had a VanBitz Strikeback alarm fitted to our van when new 4 years ago.
No problems with it at all, it is an alarm designed for use in motorhomes.
Welcomed by all insurance companies it is reputedly the market leader in its field
There are cheaper alarms but we feel it has been well worth the extra expense for peace of mind. If the alarm is triggered it immediately sends a text message to my mobile phone, the internal sensor can be turned off to allow movement within the vehicle whilst still keeping the exterior sensors armed, ideal for when your dogs are in the van, or at night while you sleep.

Thanks Brisey, they are a long way from south yorkshire, is the system only sold by VanBitz, or can it be installed by somebody closer to home?

I believe that there are other approved installation companies. Give Eddie at Vanbitz a call and I am sure he will point you in the right direction.

Thanks David, I phoned Peter yesterday morning, he came out in the afternoon, discussed exactly what we needed and will be back on Thursday to fit the Alarm and sensors etc.

I told him he had been recommended on the 'best motorhome forum' , gave him the Motorhomefun flyer and suggested he contact Jim to discuss sponsorship.

Hi,

Peter - Autalarm Vehicle Systems, Rotherham - arrived on time (even though it was raining) fitted the Laserline Alarm system and has just demonstrated it. Very good job indeed and we are very pleased.

He fits the alarm at your home which is very handy, his price (£190) is competitive and we would highly recommend him.
