Hi all,

can anyone tell me if its possible to disable the LOUD audible beeps you get when locking a Peugeot Boxer?

arrived back from pub, not late but still not wanting to disturb the whole site
last night. We had to get in but did expect someone to complain.

Cheers

if its factory fit then take to a pug dealer...if after market then an independant alarm installer should be able to disable the 'chirp'

worth a look in your vehicle handbook first though.

Our current Boxer, an (09) does not beep on locking.

Our previous one on a (06 older model) did not beep either.

Have you got an after market add on alarm added?

Can't remember ;)
Hi 2 dogs I would not worry about it after all you will not be the only one on site with it.People make allowances for that it is only when the alarm goes off and no one turns it off that they get annoyed ::bigsmile:We sometimes roll up at 2.30 and turn alarm off -get dragon in and dog out ::bigsmile:Probably annoy the neighbours more slamming the door shut :ROFLMAO:

Just a thought, with mine (Fiat) if you lock the vehicle as soon as you close the door it beeps, however if you don't lock it until the interior light has extinguished it does not, don't know why but worth a try.
Geoff.

John, Callum, it is a standard Pug alarm,
Geoff, I'll give it a go and see what happens.

All in all, we came away wanting a quiet time, no kids or rowdy bars on site.
It has been bugging me let alone someone else on site.

Cheers

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
Ours does exactly the same. I shall try what Geoff says. :thumb:
I dont know about you but one of our dogs lets out a single bark too.
So Clunk ,Beep, Beep, Woof .
Then a patter of paws as they rush to the door panting loudly . Tails banging on the wooden bench seat , and kitchen sink sides
We have never had any complaints , but it does sound quite loud late at night.

Funny you should as this, this is just what we were wanting to do as we got back late and had to disarm the alarm quite late, and it puts us off alarming the van when we go to bed and just tend to lock the doors which I don't like doing.
So will be interested in any replies

Need to know what make of alarm it is really, bt mosts systems will have a option for a bleep which can be turned on and off, others will have a wire that needs disconnecting to stop the arming alert.
