Campercontact works for us.

This is an example:

Hi and :welcome4:
Actually "Tour Guide Wanted" means a person but no matter, 'tis a bit confusing.

Vicarious do an excellent All the Aires Spain. In addition the Campercontact App is very good. If you need campsites ACSI are well represented and their book/membership can save you quite a bit too.

As for route plenty of choice and no need to use toll Autopista. We just go wherever we fancy perhaps picking somewhere to stop. Possible in 2 days but a lot of driving - unless you're under time restraint I'd take 3/4 days and enjoy it more. Doggy will appreciate that too.

Good luck

There are many books and apps but CamperContact is for me, as good as it gets. "Camperstop" is a heavy book. All the Aires (France, Spain, Italy etc) is another useful book. Another App is "Park4Night" but it shows too many places that can be iffy.
CamperContact is free but well worth the £5 a year for the all singing dancing version which is complete with actual reports and photographs of sites.

Another vote for campercontact app and the ACSI book which gives you the out of high season discount card.

Thanks very much for your recommendations... looks like it’s unanimous for Camperstop!

Alternatively you could try Search for sites. I like the Search for sites app because of the way integrates with the navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze providing the opportunity to find and decide on a site then use the integration with the sat-nav to get there.

Each to their own I know.

We liked Aranjuez just south of Madrid. We stayed on the ACSI site within walking distance of the town. We took the tour guide of the palace and so many rooms seemed to be copies of the royal palace in Madrid that we felt glad we had not bothered to stop in Madrid,

We also stayed on the “elephant aire” near Santander, campercontact site code 6016 and loved getting up close to the elephants.

We no longer use anything other that Park4Night......there are some entries that shouldn't be included, but generally with the colour coding of the MH icon on the maps, its possible to weed out the good from the bad, makes planning simple.....
Remember that just because its in black and white, will not make it legal to stay, we read the reports of previous users and decide if its suitable for us.....works 99% of the time.

We went to spain last Xmas🤗 I used a combination of Search for Sites and the internet. Some sites are better than others. We went to some horrible places and just kept driving. Best to look at the sites first. We also did a bit of free camping on the beach. Good luck 👍

Having done Spain twice, and tried the Aire sites. Problems, off course / journey, many are HGV sites, which is fine, big and spacious, but truckers start and finish all times of the night and are not quiet. In the end we started using church car parks, arrive at sunset, and depart before 9. If anyone says anything just say, 'sanctuary' and offer a donation to the offer (hate predicted text). They are usually in the town centres and near to pubs and shops. France, is a different ball game as their are 500 more MoHo's and caravans than churches, and get a bit uppity with all these non stopping free loaders. Don't forget Aldi and Lidl if using for just night time.

We've never had problems with aires in Spain, albeit there are far fewer than in France. Our only difficulty is getting on them in the more popular areas, such as the Med coast. Using the apps, such as Park4Night/Campercontact will of course throw up all the places it is "possible" to stay overnight but unless you use the filters you'll get the truckstops etc. We carry the Vicarious book, All the Aires Spain & Portugal", which only identifies the "proper" aires - you don't need to renew it every year as they don't change often. It also lists LPG sites, although the apps are better for that.
