Aires in Dinan France

there's an aire near the river and a campsite.
I've not stayed at either but if you look at Campercontact's website, it will give you an idea of location, cost and reviews.
Dinan is supposedly beautiful.

The aire is under the viaduct here

We were last a Dinan back in 2018.
We pulled into the aire under the viaduct but then realised that there were dozens of motorhomes and camper vans parked up on the lower field next to the river.
Overnighted for free. The viaduct was lit up at night which was spectacular.

We are back in Dinan today, there are a few UK vans in the field under the viaduct, including one with a Funster sticker but not seen the occupants yet to find out if they are truly Funsters 😺

We are in Dinan now, staying at La Hallerais camp site. It’s a great site and we paid £15/night. About 25 minutes walk to Dinan port, along the river.
The aire under the viaduct was heaving when we walked past yesterday.

The site under the viaduct was busy yesterday but there was still loads of space, it is an easy couple of minute walk to the port and the town centre. Plus, it's free 😺

We are due in Dinan tomorrow. Is that a ACSI price (left my card at home 😡) or normal? Is there space or do I need to book?

We booked via CAMC (using their website). We did speak to some people who had turned up & used ACSI card for about the same price. Funnily enough, they didn’t have their card either! People are leaving & others arriving every day.

We haven't been there for a few years, but took someone's advice to avoid steep walk into town. If you leave the aire early, it's relatively easy to park in the town centre carpark in such a position you can't get blocked in. The town is well worth a visit IMHO.
