Eight Years and 28,000 Miles.
Have booked the Drum Inn on the Thursday and an earlyish crossing on the Friday. Not quite the romance of waking up in France but wil find a nice aire on the way back up. Thanks for all the advice.
I thought you were looking for a stop in France.. The Master Brewer is a better stop than the Drum Inn.

We were but due to our schedule, gotta make Pierre de Bresse by Friday evening so this fits well. We can’t leave Dorset until after school anyway so prob won’t get chance to enjoy the pub much anyway. We will have to see how well it all works. :giggle:

We've not used it but on Park4Night there's parking at Nordausques about 20 minutes from Euro Tunnel, it's near the town hall with a junction for the A26 not too far away.

Aires in and near to villages you should not arrive after 10pm or depart before 7am so as not to disturb the local residents.
But not being able to leave before 7 would mean all the French would have to stay and pay the attendant instead of sneaking out in the middle of the night to avoid them::bigsmile:

What’s wrong with the new Calais Aire? 10mins from tunnel, plenty of space and quiet!

Non of the aires near Calais have particularly good reviews.. so why take even a miniscule chance of aggro when there are others to choose from slightly further afield.

We’ve never had or seen any problems at the Calais aire and, arriving at 1am, I think I’d just want to get my head down!

We've used it a few times, it's about an hour from the Eurotunnel..
We make it an hour to Montreuil as well. This time of year there will be space at night. Can save 5-10 mins by paying of the Boulougne Toll bit

Nothing usually but a Facebook group I am in reported an increase in migrants trying to get into vans. So just thought I would try elsewhere and we would arrive very late and don’t want to upset anyone on the aire. The joys of being a school worker, always in a hurry to get to destinations.
