We are thinking of taking a late ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe (23:00 arriving at 05:00) and then heading in the direction of Rouen. Don't want to drive much more than an hour from the port.

Can any of you recommend an aire that we could stop over for a few hours to get some shut eye as I expect we won't get any sleep on the ferry.

By the way, we are travelling out mid-June.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Might be an idea to buy or borrow a copy of All The Aires France or why not download the aires camping car app.

I have only been to France once but sometimes found our first choice aire was full so we then had to choose another.

There is an aire at Dieppe just a few hundred yards from the ferry terminal.

There are two Aires in Dieppe and have both been recently modernised, even electric if your lucky.

Montville aire free , services a bit expensive near large lake, by sports field behind swimming pool seperate moho park room for 8. about 29 miles from Dieppe
    GPS
    N 49.54705, E 1.07298

If you come out of the port to the little roundabout turn right back on yourself with the cliffs on your left, the aire is not much more then 500 metres along on your left under the cliff. It a pay at the machine one.

We have used Cleres, about 30 miles south of Dieppe. Free to stay but token required for water & electric. Nice little village a short walk away, it's located next to the sports fields.
