We've got our MH parked on the drive and plugged into the mains as usual. We're getting ready to go away and so in and out of the vehicle loading it. I noticed that our air con unit is beeping every now and again. I have no idea why this should be... can anyone advise how to stop it?

Thanks for the replies.

We haven't ever used the unit so it isn't switched on. The power is on - so no fuse issue there. Does the unit itself have batteries?

So it draws about 1000-15000w when running?
Could be the inverter not outputting? if switched to it

apart from this, dunno

Going to ask the silly Q have you got a smoke detector?

If so replace the battery in that.

Can't think of any reason your aircon unit would beep if turned off AND no error messages on the controller displays (inc flashing led on the aircon)

Sure it's aircon and not water/waste alarms?

Photo of display may help

I'm sure it is the air con because when the beep goes off a red light flashes on the unit at the same time.

I'm off to check the controller to see if it needs new batteries.

Will it run if you switch it on? Will it reset if you isolate all power and switch back on again?

It's a Truma Aventa
Very strange…. You might call the technical department of Truma near Derby; they might be able to help. I have the same unit (just fixed by them) and never got it to beep at me. The only thing that I can think of is, like Dometic fridges, it might not like lower voltage but in your case that is unlikely

Now a little one
It could possibly be a condensation alarm if excess condensation is detected, although you would think this could only happen when the unit is switched on.

Why not switch it on and leave running for a period of time, then switch off and see if the beeping noise has gone.

Failing this, is it a blocked filter alarm requiring the filter to be removed and cleaned.

Thanks for your suggestions. We disconnected the power and left it a while then reconnected. It is quiet now. Fingers crossed!

Thanks again for your help :giggle:
