Swift 696
I forgot to add on my previous post that the motorhome is a swift 696 (2015) on a fiat ducato base.

I've also managed to attach pic!

That little black box with the writing and diagram on it is a relay, which is an electrically operated switch. It can be used to isolate the main negative connection to the battery, to definitely cut off the connection and stop all current drains from the battery, for example during storage. However you can disconnect the thick black cable instead, that will have the same effect.

There is some procedure I'm never quite sure of, with the ignition key, to cut off the power using this relay. Others have described it before on here, not sure where exactly.

On some models where the barrel of the ignition switch there is a little chrome button pressing this allows the key to turn off a bit further and disconnects the power.
