I want to get air assist suspension added to my Boxer PVC. This is mainly because we are fitting a heavy rear bicycle rack and are getting the van uprated to 3500kg. SVTech say that adding air assist will increase the rear axle capacity which seems a good idea.

I dont feel confident to fit this myself and wonder if anyone can suggest any mobile fitters or workshops in the south midlands area who can do this for a reasonable price. I have been quoted £1300 by LNB Towbars which seems a lot.

the kits on e bay are £250 four hours labour tops easier with a hoist nothing tricky about it i would get the kit and find a local garage

about another hundred if you want the kit with the compressor and an extra bit of wiring

Not sure whether this is too far for you but these guys are great. £600 fitted. Took a couple of hours. I just went for a walk into town whilst they did it.

Had mine fitted by LNB but no compressor. Only takes my foot pump one pump to adjust up 5 psl. Very easy. Big saving no compressor. Be interesting if all who have compressors us them regularly or not. But very easy without.

My neighbour had it fitted by a mobile fitter (but he cant remember their name!)

He has the compressor version and recommends that. I was originally thinking of a system like yours but he talked me round

How much did LNB charge you if you dont mind me asking?

Ive just been quoted £700 by a local towbar fitting centre which sounds more reasonable

Thanks - its a bit far for me I'm afraid

I agree....I just went for the cheapest version. I've only pumped it once and it was easy with the foot pump. I don't think I'd mess about changing pressure anyway. Fit and forget!

TL tech fitted mine for @£400. He is based in Northampton but travelled to Basingstoke to fit the kit.

Dave Newell in Telford made a great job of fitting mine a couple years back. Many on here have their servicing work done by Dave Newell Leisure Services.
