Good afternoon.

I am considering swapping to AIB when the insurance from my current provider expires next week. AIB are the most competitive for the level of cover I require. They also offer a discount if a member of MH Fun and CMHC which I am both.

However, the proof of the pudding I've found over the years, is if you need to make a claim.

Would any fellow funsters like to share the experience of dealing with AIB in such circumstances. You don't need to share any specific details of a claim, just the general response and service received.

Thanks as always. - Derry

PS. I should have mentioned the proposed insurer is Aviva, using AIB as their broker.

i have been with AIB for a fair few years, only ever made 1 claim for a new windscreen in a concorde motorhome they dealt with it very swiftly even tho they had to get the windscreen in from germany.

Thanks Martin.

We’ve been with them 4 years now, they were the only company willing to insure our van fully comprehensive on the vin number whilst driving it back from Germany.
Not had a claim so can’t comment on that bit.

Been with them for 4 years and had 3 separate claims unfortunately.
Claim procedure is handled by Aviva and is very professional.
1 windscreen replaced, 1 bodywork damage after reversing into a bollard in Norway and recently claimed for hailstone damage, all were hassle free and paid promptly.

I've been with them for a number of years. I need business use for motorhome and trailer and it can be a pain to get it at a good price. AIB work with a large number of underwriters so they always seem to come good for me. This years policy is with Aviva too, who are pretty good in this market (y)

I have been with AIB for a number of years. Not had to make a claim thankfully but whenever I have needed to contact them for renewals they have gone the extra mile,, even to emailing to campsite in Spain so they can print off cert's.

Thanks All. Much appreciated.
