I once went on a site that I could plug my TV into a post lettingnme get perfect picture and extra channels. What I would like to know is how long should I make cable ? I have a drum of flex and the ends also what ends do I use male female 2x male ? Thanks for any advice you can offer Paul

The aerial socket is usually on the hookup post so a max of 25mtrs should be long enough.

Pitch hookups are generally closer but 25mtrs should cover all eventualities.

Whether the socket is a regular tv socket or an F type socket is another matter.

Also use satellite co-ax not standard terrestrial. A digital signal sometimes behaves strangely on standard co-ax. Different cable resistances apparently.

Get a 20m leanth and a 5m length made up. Use 5m whenever possibly to save having loads of flex about the pitch. Use the 20m one if the 5m isnt long enough
Then get a double female co ox (or double f plug if using sat cable) and join the 20m to the 5m if required.
If you house the connection in a 35mm film camister it keep them dry
