MH
chausson flash
Exp
since 2012
My husband,Steve, is critically ill but stable.
I want to sell the MH, what’s the best way to do it and what’s a reasonable price to ask for?
its a 14 chausson flash. Done 3,500 miles, solar panels, bike rack, sat Nav, reversing camera, alarm system, two light weight refillable gas bottles. We paid £47,000 new. I was thinking something like £30,000.

I'm a total newbie to motorhomes Linda, but one thing I would say is sell it private on here in the classifieds, or even on eBay/autotrader. You'll get a much better price than selling to a dealer. I am in the process of looking for a mh myself at the moment, but am looking for something a little bigger.
Good luck and best wishes for your husband

£30k seems on the cheap side to me. There are others for sale with 30,000+ miles on for sale for that price. What year is it?

Sounds very cheap, don't do yourself out of money, I would put it more like 40 grand, you can always go down but not up.

Advertise it in as many places as poss, start here in ‘fun and put a higher price on then you can come down if you need to!
Get some photos as well-good ones that show condition any damage & any extras.

Sorry to hear of your Husband‘s I’ll health.

Best to search online either via autotrader, eBay or just google your model typing within the search bar, “2014 Chausson Flash for sale UK“.

This will give you a good idea to values and then you can decide whether you wish to sell privately or via a broker.

Give him a bit of slack ... it's Sunday morning and he's having a lie-in ... probably after a night on the razzzzz!

That sounds too little.
From what I read motorhomes are in great demand (due to Covid anxiety) and prices are rising substantially.

Sorry to hear about your hubby.

I would have said a minimum of £35,000 and that's possibly still a bit on the low side unless a quick private sale is wanted.

If it were me I’d Pm Simon Howard Motorhomes and ask his advice. He seems to be a nice guy, who knows he might even buy it

Google your Model and check dealers asking price set yours 2k to 3k below theirs.
Dealers are very arrogant at the Moment due to demand and think there doing you a favor knocking £250 off screen price with bottom dollar on trade in
there are some very rude people on here this morning, with the exception of Minksy who fully understand the situation being an alcoholic her self

If you are not in too much of a hurry you could try Motorhome Depot - they act as a broker with an agreed minimum price for the van. Alternatively there are dealers that offer sale or return at an agreed price.
