Eight wonderful years!
Hi
We may be going to Lake Como and Maggiore in September and I know from a previous visit that finding somewhere to stay other than campsites will be difficult (tho if anyone knows of Sostas of Camperstops please share!). We are hoping to do ferry trips - can anyone advise if they are dog friendly. When we visited Venice we sometimes had to have them muzzled on the vaporettas - is that the case on the Lakes?? Many thanks.

Take muzzle for the dog, I found Italians not too bothered about if it's on or not. But best to have one if if required.
Austria is a different matter, they insist on all dogs muzzled and enforce the matter regularly.
Ferries on como and Garda very dog friendly though.

Great free sosta at Germignaga on maggorie overlooking the lake, ehu.
Camper contact says 15 euro but free as far as I could see, no sign to say otherwise.
