Eight wonderful years!
Hi - Can anyone help? We may decide to tour Ireland in September. Must see the Giant's Causeway - but have an elderly dog. We are reluctant to leave her in the MH (it may be hot!! Dream on...) I've just read about a walk to there which involves 160 steps, which is not going to be possible. She's fine for a walk of an hour or so but so many steps are a deal breaker. I think there's a shuttle bus - but does it take dogs?? Any advice on this aspect or any other tips on Ireland welcomed.

The 160 steps you refer to is for the next attraction along the coast, Carrick a rede rope bridge.
The Giants Causeway has a long slow hill from the visitor centre down to the causeway but there is a bus running back and forth constantly for about a quid but unsure if they permit dogs.
Give them a bell

When you park up, unless you really want to there's no need to go into the Visitor Centre (we are NT members so free to go into the Visitor Centre - but we still ended up spending a fortune on T-shirts and other mementoes. Ah well we were on holiday). Free access to the Causeway round to the right of the centre. As Winger says it's a long slow hill down to the stones, say 20 mins down and 40 mins back! We didn't use the bus - the queue was very long.

We're going back to Ireland in September but will be going direct to Galway to finish the Wild Atlantic Way we started (from Belfast) last year. Three weeks wasn't long enough!
