Hi all,

I have just found this on Ebay......

A few questions if I may?

1. Is this worth buying (subjective I know but any advice is cool)

2. What would you bid maximum for it?

Many thanks in advance

Paul

I wouldn't bid a penny until I had it inspected and was satisfied it was damp free..
can you do that ?

seller has added this.. may or may not be significant..
We have just found out that this vehicle was subject to an insurance claim in 1999 (Category D; light panel damage) There is no physical evidence of this anywhere on the vehicle. It has been on the road since the claim for the last 15 years without issue.

usual caveat .. buyer beware

Turbo diesel and power steering were beginning to hit the market by 1991.
I'd be inclined to find a vehicle with both.

As stated above, any vehicle (particularly 20yrs plus) needs a thorough examination for damp.
Most problems can be fixed, a damp problem could be terminal/uneconomical to repair..

It's always going to be difficult at this price point - plenty of buyers, very few good vans...
Patience, persistence, being vigilant and willing to act quickly will all help you find a good un.

Good luck (y)

If you check its MOT history on
https://mot-history.net/
(vehicle make is a Talbot)
you will see that there is no record of an MOT since 2007.
Strange.

6000 miles in 8 years and no evidence of an mot since 2007?
Nice as the van looks, I would not consider buying it unless I could get to see it and go over the lot with a fine tooth comb and a mechanic, especially to check the items it failed on in 2007. All the paperwork needs checking, especially any service history and it would have to be a good reason for it having covered 6000 miles, apparently without an mot.
Other than that, it looks a nice van.
