Chausson Welcome 728
Exp
Since 2019
Hi everyone,

I currently have a 2016 Chausson Welcome 728eb which is lovely but too big for me to comfortably drive while also not roomy enough in the seating/dining area for my partner to lounge comfortably in.

We're looking to sell it and downsize to either a roomy panel conversion van or a smaller coachbuilt with opposing settees. A separate shower is on our list of must haves. Preferred engines would be Ford or Mercedes but open to Fiat or Peugeot too. Automatic transmission would be a bonus but not a must. Ditto re storage. Happy to consider a reasonably new (2016 onwards) used vehicle.

From the ones we've viewed in person so far, the Auto Trail Tracker EKS looks to be the front runner but also wondering if should consider something like a Lunar Landstar (as thinking would potentially be easier to drive on narrow roads?) Also, the Benimar Tessoro T483 looks like it has nice big lounge seats but the table is what annoys us in the Chausson! Does anyone know if it can easily be removed (either in that vehicle or in other vehicles with a lounge/dining table)?

Thanks in advance for any advice or tips to help us make sure our second motorhome will hopefully be our last purchase for a long time! :o)

That was meant to be a smiley face at the end of the post! :giggle:

We have a Benimar, different model to what you are looking at but we have moved our table , lots of others with different models have moved theirs too.

Thank you 😊 Was it a simple thing to do and does it involve permanently removing it or can you put it back as and when needed?

Also, should have added, does having the various warranties outweigh the higher costs associated with buying new? Thanks again.

Very nearly bought a Tesoro 483 myself.
Thought it was a really nice van / layout.
Went for T line 590 in the end.
Not much smaller inside, but under 6m length.
