advice for installing leisure battery (1 Viewer)

Hi all, I have just purchased a replacement leisure battery, Do I have to disconnect the starter battery and solar panel before installing,,I'm not mechanically adept so could anyone advise please Kind regards ,Paul

Remove a fuse or connection from the solar panels and then the solar regulator connection, the remove battery terminals -ve first the +ve replace battery and the reconnect +ve and then -ve followed by connecting the solar controller and the connecting the panels to the controller, keep the terminals away from any metal and each other just in case.
