I have just had a quote from one of the search engines for my MH. I have been with Comfort (Aviva) for five years. Last years premium with full UK/EU Breakdown cover was £494.00 It has gone up to £505.00
This includes up to 60days away in one go. Advance are quoting £397.00 but I do not know the company yet.
Has anyone used Advance if so any comments?

We're with Comfort and get 365 days EU breakdown cover. Are you sure your's is only 60 days?

Sorry can't help with Advance, never heard of them. Are they a proper MH insurer or treating the MH as a car which a lot of the online search quotes seem to do.

I have been insured through Advance for the last three years and they are a broker that simply arrange the policy for you. My current cover which they arranged is with Ageas (a large Belgian based company with a large operation in UK) 180 days Europe cover, no limit on windscreen (important for my A class). Legal cover included, mis fuelling, they provide a claims handling support service. So on paper it all looks fine but I haven’t and really don’t want to test them.

This week, I just took out Advance insurance covered through Ageas. Only £230 for excellent cover and yes, it is for a Motorhome and not a car. Very professional set up so far

I think you will find wh Comfort it is 90 days.

I have been with Advance for two years and as a broker they have always delivered.
We had our Motorhome stolen in February and they were able to assist the Polic y was with Axa who were fantastic!
Paid out within two weeks of the theft and no big battle over value etc.
Just bought a new Motorhome and Insured again with Advance and Axa - highly recommended!

Been with Advanced insurance for 5 years. Fantastic to deal with and for the MH they find the cheapest deal. What I like is they contact me every year to find this cheapest deal. Unlike another company that I have my car with who tried to auto-renew at double what I was paying. Highly recommended!

Another Advance customer. They were the only broker / insurer I could find to cover our van being stored in Spain for 6 months a year. We fly backwards and forwards to use it during the winter.

Most UK insurers gave a flat NO to any storage without a UK postcode (and I thought we were supposed to be in the EU - just!).

Impressed by service and price, but haven't needed to make a claim thankfully.

Just had Advance on the phone. Quoted £1 cheaper than last year.

I can't remember, but tried lots and the only company that would insure us fully comp on the whole journey back from Germany were AIB so we went with them.

I use Advance and have Insurance with them currently. We are with AXA who do not offer Motorhome Insurance Direct only through specialist Brokers such as Advance. westbury@advanceinsurance.co.uk should get you to them. Always found them very professional and efficient, and helped us through a theft of a Motorhome.

yesterday John phoned our insurers to get a quote for change of van. Sorry existing company can't insure you, couldn't give a reason. We can get insurance though for you £988!!!! should get full refund and no admin fees as I did when my car insurance couldn't give camper insurance, we shall see.full no claims. Phoned round a bit and have now got insurance for £368, going to try another couple of places later today but what a rip off. Broker ? Adrian Flux, we have the bike and my doblo insured through them too, never again, although they did prove best for those at the time.
