We returned from a trip on Thursday past and decided to run the MoHo over local weigh bridge,
The van is plated at 3500Kgs.
Weigh bridge is a fixed plate so only giver Gross Vehicle weight.
For individual axle weights you need to use a dynamic weigh bridge.
It was fully loaded with clothes, food a few extras and Kampa Motor Rally Air Pro 260 and all accessories.
Only thing that wasnt in was water as I have drained all water off for the frost.
You can add 1 Kg/Per Litre of water. That would be 90kgs for a full tank of fresh water and hot water tank full.
Came in at 3060kgs so loads of extra weight left to carry.

Sounds good, but weight of each axle would help you to know how to safely distribute this payload

True, but you can generally get a good indication by the compression on the suspension units, that was usually the first indicator when in the bad old days I was a Traffic copper! I can hear the Boooooing already..
And if rear axle/s are overloaded your steering will feel light. Very rare for a front axle to be overloaded.
Anyhow it gave me a good indication for the payload.

When mine was tested I was overweight at the rear but well under at the front. This is not good for it leaves less grip to the road on front wheels. Overall....Ok! but can still be dangerous.

Bailey themselves quote a payload of about 700kgs so what have you changed on yours to achieve the figures you quote.

Sounds good, maybe too good. What condition was the weighbridge in, I used one in West Wales that said I was 250kg under what I thought I'd be, and subsequently found I was.

If yours is correct though.. happy days (y)
