So twinnies, as we all know this ‘marvellous’ idea to dump your water when temp drops was supposed to be this smart idea; however I am not convinced. This is and has been my only worry with the van, as like to use all year round.
I’m heading to Austria late March next year to catch end of season skiing and I’ve opted for the warmer temperature weeks.
What have you done to add extra protection from water dumping? Side skirts? DIY thermal mats underneath? Carpet to reduce cold from ground under van perhaps?

I genuinely need to Find a solution so don’t spend days worrying about the ‘van’
Thanks in advance

Were in France and have been since November, without fail our dump valve has operated every time it has got below 3c. The van is parked up and not in use bust as it is a new (Sept 2019) and first time had the auto dump valve kept an eye on it. At all times with the heating on low the valve has stayed shut. On ours the dump valve is on the opposite side to the heater so relies on the heating being on not just the hot water. The water gets hot as a by product of having the heating on.

Truma sell a heating jacket for the dump valve. But if your dump valve is near the boiler it shouldn't need it just leave the hot water or heating on.

Great supper guys, what temp would you say to leave on when out and about to prevent this? Mines a April 19 reg so you get layout etc

I would have thought around 12 deg but depends how air circulates around the dump valve.

You could ask an Adria dealer this question. Becks of Great Yarmouth might help you. If they know, please post the answer to help others.

Perhaps if I aim for 14 then this is an ambient enough temp to prevent water dump?

just looking at trauma website and couldn’t locate heating jacket... if anyone sees a web link then share

thanks for the help and advice

hi my dealer where I got it is about 10 mins away Redditch, and yes I’ll post what they say for fellow Twinnies

Although it’s never affected me, I have always wondered what to do if we went skiing or winter camping. Love the van by the way, never missed a beat except the electric step, not made by Adria.
