Adria Twin - Condensation in Over Cab Cupboard (1 Viewer)

This is our second winter in our 18 old Adria Twin - which we absolutely love to bits. But we are having an ongoing battle with Adria about the condensation that builds up in the cupboard over the cab. The insulation material that lines roof panel over the top of the cupboard does not cover all of the metal surfaces and therefore when it is cold outside the exposed metal areas become very wet and so do some of the clothing and linen stored here. We had an earlier Adria Twin and thi swas not a problem as the lining in the over cab cupboard lined all of the metal areas.

Our dealer has done their best with Adria to ask them to deal with it under warrenty but they are just not interested. Any one else had this problem?

Hi,

Do not know the actual van, but why not cover the metal bits or wherever the condensation occurs with some insulation material like foam rubber where it is not visible from outside the locker.

If it is visible cover it with some form of material.

Closed cell camping sleep mats make very good insulation. This can be fixed with carpet fitters aerosol adhesive. The foam can all be pre-cut before you start and will look neat. As a bonus it will also act as a noise insulater as well.

The quicker the heat is travels from the inside to the outside, the more the condensation will be produced, slowing this down with insulation will reduce/prevent the amount of condensation happening.

polystyrene or such materials will do this for you ; don't leave it or your cupboard will start to smell musty with fungal growth.
