Since April 1846 but have always camped.
I have a fiamma bike rack on my panel van conversion and the problem is that when the bikes are attached they overhang the offside of the van by about 9 inches.

Does anyone know if the rails can be moved over to the left at all or would this compromise safety?

Many thanks.

Paul.

When had one it was the fitments that the wheels sit on that moved. you should be able to adjust those to fit how far apart the wheels are, and therefore you should be able to slide them along to one side or the other to compensate for an overhang

If you mean this type? you just loosen the two nuts where they attach and the channel will slide either way. The nuts have a plastic cap which pulls off

Thanks for your replies. At the moment the left hand side is 20inches from it's left hand screw and the right hand side is 9 inches from it's screw. What I need to do is reduce the right hand side down to zero which will give the left hand side an overhang of 29inches and I wasn't sure of how safe this would be .
Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Not very good but the limiting factor will be how far you can move the top tube clamps

Hi Paul,

You need at least 4'' from the screw, it sounds like you may either have the wrong rack fitted or it has been incorrectly mounted.

If you give Ian or Glenn a call on 01-580-883061 they can go through it with you.
