Add Apple car play unit

Can anyone recommend a company to replace my existing Iveco radio unit with one of the new units that include carplay (there are several units on the market)?

Not a job I would trust myself to do and I really would like to have the same convenience as I have in my car.

Did mine a few months back, was actually quite easy so shouldn't be expensive to get someone to do it. Like you said so nice to have the same interface in all cars now. Think we paid about £225 for our Pioneer unit.

Find somebody with a Halfords trade card and you may get the unit with installation for a decent price.. i’m near Chester but happy to help (I have one)

We have the Pioneer unit, which is good, but the DAB aerial Halfords fitted was rubbish, so we got the same one as Andy Techno suggested, and fitted it ourselves (on a small plastic panel on the bonnet of our A class, (so no holes through the roof) with a sheet of aluminium to do something I know not what, and it works fine.

The DAB aerial fixed to the inside of the windscreen was a waste of space.

So basically, Halfords supplied and fitted the radio, but we (I use the Royal ‘We’ here) could have done the job ourselves.

The screen attached aerials are fine, provided you get the grounding tab to touch a bit of bare metal on your windscreen frame.

We got a Sony AX100 for £200 as it's an old model. Used it for pretty much every mile of the 10000 we did around Europe this year (although with Android Auto, not Apple Carplay). Extremely useful.

Edit: for clarity, that Sony doesn't have DAB... but I stream all my music anyway.
