ADAC - Camping Card (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Have looked through the forums but have not seen any mention of these.
Does anyone have experience of ADAC's Camping guides which apparently come with a Camping Card (ADAC) which gives discount at certain camping sites.

The one we looked at was for Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
Comments please good, bad, etc or even knowledge of them.

Just googled it.. and you are dead right.. There is indeed an ADAC card / scheme..
Gonna have to delve further !!

LOL !! Just had a look to see how many sites are listed in Austria
I left it all open apart from wanting the site dog friendly
It came back with just one place in the whole of the country !

ADAC CampCard price
The ADAC CampCard price is mainly in the low season and can be used already from the first night.

The price includes:

• Accommodation costs for two adults including stand
• Electricity (5 kWh)
• shower
• Fee for a dog (if allowed on the pitch)
• VAT

This does not include spa or local taxes as well as environmental and garbage fees, which can be collected separately.

The ADAC CampCard price can be limited to a specific stand-alone account or a certain stand category and can not be combined with other discounts. Additional services can be charged separately.



Stay longer and save money

On many campsites, guests can save on longer stays. For example, you only pay six times the already reduced ADAC CampCard price for a 7-day stay. Other combinations are possible (eg 14 = 12, 21 = 18).

We ended up with discount for our adac membership at tossa del Mar last year.. they saw the adac sticker in the windscreen .. saw the membership card and that was it..
Never expected it tbh ..

UPDATE :- My wife has emailed ADAC and they don't post these guides/card to anywhere other than Germany.

Wonder why that is? Surely it will restrict growth of the scheme?

If it's because of extra postage, they could always charge a small supplement to cover the additional cost.

SMALL extra charge ? Try about 10 € per area you want to use it in !
