called them today and despite lots of info about not offering their Plus option I paid E109 for the Plus + partner cover.

took all of 5 minutes and received the email confirmation 5 minutes later.

great service and it covers any vehicle you are travelling in with automatic renewal - in fact the lady went to great lengths to explain that I had to cancel it if I did not want it next year.

It's not really automatic renewal, you will get correspondence saying that it is due but you will still have to phisically make the effort and pay.

From past experience I thought with ADAC one had to cancel renewal one month before due date.

It may depend on how one paid as to whether it is automatic or needs action..

3 months notice to cancel. Fairly normal in Europe.

I completely forgot to pay at the end of last year - eventually remembered in June this year. Meanwhile they arranged recovery for a small trailer which ran a bearing - no mention that I hadn't paid. The day after payment was made I got a very nice email thanking me.
