Has anyone stayed or currently at this campsite?

We have family coming out for the week staying in Fuengirola and although the ACSI rate is not available over the Easter period it's available to book through CC and only about a couple of euro a day above the ACSI rate. Reviews seem OK, usual mixed batch. We would be hiring a car for the week so not a problem being a few miles away.

Many thanks
Dave and Ginny :)

We have stayed a couple of times over the past few years, the last time was in September last year.

It was a bit scruffy and needs a good tidy up and some of the showers were dirty and also the washing up sinks in the bottom block (opposite reception) had no hot water. The staff speak good english and are helpful.
The site can be quite noisy at the weekend with the Spanish crowd arriving on masse.. there is also the main coast road (A7!) (N320!) that runs right past the main entrance which, if you have a pitch close to the road, will be noisy virtually 24/7. If you can get a pitch then choose one further up the hill amongst the statics. As you are going to be there around Easter it may be a good idea to book now!! It will be full of Spanish.
They have a bar/restaurant on site which is frequented by the local expat brits most evenings.

The port of Cabopino is pretty with a few restaurants some of which are expensive and the beach is good but make sure you stay on the beach on the left as you look out to sea, unless your into naked men flaunting themselves!!
There is a bus stop about 200m from the site entrance that runs between Malaga and Marbella, there is a Lidl about 750m but there is no cycle track and if you walk then you actually walk on the inside of the barrier on the main road!!

Having said all that I would still use it again.

Good luck.

Many thanks indeed for such a great review of the site. It's currently bookable through the CC. Everywhere is pretty busy around Easter we've usually found, unless you head inland and there doesn't seem to be many other options for us if we're not going to be milesa away from where the family are staying. Thanks again, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the CC pitches being up the hill away from the road!

Not long enough!
Some of the pitches are not good.
Not level or very shaded.
Best thing if you like swimming Is the indoor pool. Massive and warm.
Showers, loos, dated.
Good English crowd there with things going on.

no where to walk or cycle to outside the gate other than over the bridge to the beach. Very busy road. You can catch the bus into Feungerola etc. Did not rate it much when we were there in 2007. BUSBY:):)

Still trucking and learning
Stayed there last week - didn't like it. Very few pitches available and those that were had either lots of shade or were too small. Good bar though, and the Indian restaurant next door is excellent.

Never leave a campsite with your clothes line tied to a lamp post.

We agree with this is a fair review having been there only a few weeks ago. Also take a look at La Buganvilla site a bit closer to Marbella which we just prefer over Cabopino,
