Are ACSI cards for 12 months from when you get it or a calendar year. Seen you get discounts at some sites. Are they worth having. Where in Spain for another 3 months

The card is for a calendar year. I ordered the 2020 card from C&CC last week for £14.99. Two days later I got an email direct from ACSI offering me the card for €12.95 with the app thrown in for free for the first year. I must remember not to be so hasty next year :(

Worth having? The discounts only apply outside of the main season, which varies from site to site. But yes, you can save the cost of the card in one night. I booked 2 nights at a site in Holland earlier this year. When I went to the campsite's own website to check prices and facilities etc, the cost came up at €45 a night, EHU extra. I booked through ACSI and got pitch including EHU for €20 per night :)

It runs for a year from when you subscribe.

** Please note: ACSI Club ID is an ongoing membership. Your ACSI Club ID will automatically be renewed on the day your current membership expires (this date is on your ACSI Club ID card). You can cancel the automatic extension at any time, but at least 1 month before the expiry date. If you don't do this before the expiry date, your ACSI Club ID will automatically be renewed for a year.

Whether it's worth it or not depends upon what time of year and how often you use it. I subscribed for two years then ceased as when I select sites it's for several reasons other than the cost. Sometimes the chosen site has been on the ACSI list.
I keep my 'old' sites guide as a back up to other site search methods.

The card (and books) run per calendar year. If you purchase the phone app, it's valid for 12 months from the date you buy it ;) Your link goes to the Club ID, not the discount card.

Yes, not the most precise link but it was only intended to prompt the OP to look at the ACSI website where all the info is available.

Sometimes I found the ACSI pitches were less attractive than the regular ones on some sites.
But agree overall it can save money if out of season.

I think it's hit a miss, depends on the campsite and how long you are staying. You may be able to get a cheaper deal if you're staying a month or longer, but it's handy to have in the long run and probably saves you money 1 saw I think.

I would have said that If you're travelling and using ACSI campsites in Spain over the next 3 months then it's a no-brainer in my opinion but of course you'll have to renew it in January. So It depends on your travel plans.

A word of warning, last year l purchased my acsi card through their website using
a clarity credit card. This was the only time it had been used in 5 months. When the statement
arrived it had just short of £1300 of purchases mainly in Holland. I managed to get the money
refunded & was told by the Halifax it was probably acsi security that had been breached so this
year I’m using C&MC.

They come out about the second week of December, some campsites have them or caravan accessory shops in Spain. ? Bob.

We buy from the C&CC each year these days.

On the face of it, the price costs less if bought direct from ACSI on an annual recurring direct debit.

But I've heard of folk having problems cancelling, so stick to making a UK purchase each year.

We find it is well worth using. Occassionally - but not often - the ACSI pitches allocated are less desirable. But if that's the case, just pay an extra couple of euro per night for a better pitch. If they're available, a site will always be happy to upgrade you for a small increased fee.

The scheme books and card are valid from 1 January to 31 December each year.

ACSI are great if you travel out of season and only stay on each site for a few days.

You might not be offered the beach front or the largest pitches on site though.

Ask if you are staying for more than a few days as sometimes the site discount rate may well be cheaper.

Electricity is charged as a set fee per day and sometimes restricted to how much you can use. Run over the daily allowance and it can get expensive.

But at around £18 for a card you will get your money back in just a few days.

It costs less if you buy carefully. C&CC charge around £15 for members. (y)

Worth noting ACSI card runs from January to December so if you have 2019 book you will need a new one for Jan 2020.
You need the book as the card is in it.?

Dash4it usually have a good discount, last year 20%. Then there is a further discount on top if you are member of C&MC. Free delivery too.

Worth two quid extra to get it delivered on time. ACSI a bit unreliable with delivery.BUSBY
