I'm planning to go to France / Spain in October and although I haven't ruled out using Aires I would like to stay on some sites. I understand that an ACSI card gives discounts in low season and is valid for the calendar year. You also save 18% if you subscribe. It seems like a bargain. Is it ok to buy the card from eBay or is it better to buy direct from ACSI please?

I've also seen there is a Camping Key Europe card which claims to be the most popular card with over a million users. Is this comparable to the ACSI card or not as good?

Since 2008 & many years tugging
The Camping key Europe is their equivelant of our Camping card ( formally Camping Carnet), only really needed for Sweden & Norway.

For France & Spain you need the ACSI discount card which comes with the books, a lot of sellers on eBay & Amazon list old ones you need the 2023 edition often cheaper from C&CC.

I bought my 2023 ACSI Camping Card & Guidebooks from the Camping and Caravanning Club, because they had the (marginally) best price, but can't find it on their website now?

Caravan & Motorhome Club sell it too:

https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/overseas-holidays/special-offers/camping-card-acsi/

And also available from Vicarious Books:

It's definitely the ACSI discount card you want for France and Spain. Once you've got the guidebooks and card, for a few Euro more you can get the app for your phone - which is handy. But you need a code from the books to get the app. (y)

I bought my ACSI books from the CAMC in January & they then sent me a Camping Key Card.
I believe the Camping Key Card can be used as a form of ID on sites but, tbh, I've never been asked for it.

Shame you need to be members of C&CC to get it!
