to get the full benefit of these cards do they have to be taken out at the start of every year or are they valid for a 12 months period anyway ? thanks garry

They are valid for a calendar year, January through to December.

The trouble with the Jan start is if you are going away early Jan to the continent it's not always posted out early enough to take with you. Pete
