Just wondered if we have managed to get on the list please or are we still at no 4 on the reserve list, thanks.

Thank you for asking.
As shown on the OP you have moved up the Reserve List and are currently No. 2 in the queue for a place.

THE ATTENDANCE LIST IS NOW FULL.
WE ARE TAKING NAMES FOR A RESERVE LIST

As we emerge from the imposed hibernation that this Pandemic has caused, we thought we would organise another ‘Do’ at Avon Bank. Yes, we know some of you have been before but, I have to point out, (if you haven’t read it before) that this year, as a one off, the ‘Plum Festival Temporary Campsite in August is already ‘FULL’ without it being advertised.
We decided that those Funsters who have had our ‘Easter at Avon Bank’ event cancelled twice because of COVID should be offered ‘Plum’ this year as compensation. This offer has been fully subscribed.

This is therefore an opportunity to those Funsters who have never been to this waterside site, (or even if you have) to get to enjoy what we think is one of the best venues in the country.

For Information; This event takes place Monday 12th to Monday 19th July. The Stratford on Avon event run by toledo follows on from this on 19th July.

Read the 'stuff' at the bottom, ie. Adults only, No 'Third Party' bookings.

Location: Avon Bank Meadows Field, Mill Lane, Wyre Piddle, Worcestershire. WR10 2JF
This is a Caravan and Motorhome Club CL. with an event field. The event field has EHU for all and aerial sockets, (TV reception without this is not the best).

Avon Bank was awarded the Caravan and Motorhome Club CL of the Year 2018.
It's beside the River Avon which is navigable. Fishing, boating/kayaking/canoeing are allowed from the site.

I reluctantly have to restrict attendees to Coachbuilt and A Class 'vans (and smaller). We cannot accommodate R.V.'s other than Class C (Think Jims 'Van)

The Temporary Campsite starts at 12noon on Monday 12th July and Finishes 11.00am Monday 19th July. THIS IS A 7 NIGHT EVENT.

The Cost for this Event is £91 to Include your Pitch with EHU.

Wyre Piddle is within easy walking distance, where there is a pub, and buses to nearby towns.
Pershore is a flat, pleasant, one mile walk through meadows. Pershore has an ASDA and numerous shops, bars and cafes.

Facilities: Although a basic site, Avon Bank has EHU for each attendee, TV Aerial sockets, and there are several water taps around the site. There are laundry facilities.
Access: Double gates from Mill Lane direct into Wyre Boatyard. Gravel driveway leading to the Rally Field.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome. They must be on leads or tethered on the rally field. There is ample provision for exercise off the site.
Generators: As there is EHU for all, No generators please.
No Groundsheets, Awning Carpets, (even breathable ones), to be used.

Pop up Gazebos
. These will be accepted, providing they are not used as a space for Social Gatherings.

Deposit
: £10 to be paid by Bank Transfer when your name is added to the list of attendees. ( I will send you a ‘Conversation’ with Bank details)

WE WILL REQUIRE FULL PAYMENT ON OR BEFORE 1ST JUNE

Do not send monies to previously published Bank Accounts.
I will not accept any responsibility should this occur and I do not receive the money.

N.B. We appreciate that in a small number of cases there may be Funsters who have to cancel. The Final Payment will be repaid if that place is filled by someone on the Reserve List. Otherwise £10 will be forfeited and that money will go to Charity.

************************************************

We have no idea as to whether there are events taking place at nearby Pershore but we will be bringing the Cornish Skittles and no doubt there will be other 'stuff' taking place for the enjoyment of all.
We will bringing our collection of Good, Clean, (Condition if not content) Paperbacks which will be on sale in Aid of Prostate Cancer UK

PLEASE NOTE

ADULT ONLY

This Event is 'Adults Only.' The River Avon runs alongside the site and is deep. The site itself is Adult Only.
There is no objection to a child visiting with 'Day Visitors.'

THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS
I will not be accepting bookings from 'Third Parties' on this event. If you wish to attend with a mate, you will both, (or more) have to book in your own name.

We would have really loved to come on this rally, but could not be patient enough to wait any longer, as campsites are filling up fast. So.... please remove us from the reserve list, but would be very much interested on putting our names down for the next time. Regards, Mike

Thank you for that. I understand your situation.

Whenever we run an event, we give a period of time between posting up THE INTENTION of running it and actually opening up the opportunity to put one's name on 'The List'

I've picked up that request.
I've got an invitation out to the No. 1 on the reserve but he/she hasn't got back to me.
Keep watching.

Dear All at Wyre Piddle, henceforth the persons once known as Nomascookies are now know as NicandJay. Simply we, ok I, struggled to identify with the former forum name and so the change. It now does what it says on the tin.... who can ask for anything more

We had to leave this excellent well run rally, in for us a great location with great facilities, due to a personal commitment that came up after booking.
We really had a great time meeting a number of funsters for the first time and renewing some older meetings. John and Jackie Chocy boy, next time we meet I would like to have a look at your internet box please (after our chat with Jackie).
Derek and Mary ably assisted by Malcolm and Teresa did an excellent job in keeping us informed of activities, while allowing plenty of free time to do our own thing. The weather gods were on our side and I am not breaking a secret now by adding you are in for a treat at the social tonight as we have really enjoyed listening to the musicians practising, it was very pleasant listening to them with my foot tapping and humming along quietly.
We are committed to Chester this year, but will be watching like a hawk for the Plum Festival next year.
Thank you everyone for a special week, especially Derek,Mary, Malcolm and Teresa.

Well, what a lovely day it’s been. The sun has shone gloriously, everyone was chilling, and we had a brilliant social tonight.

Chinese bingo was close - I nearly got four corners, but Cliff got the wrong answer to the vital question - so yet again no cigar - but everyone got a chocolate Orange, so all’s right with the world!

‘Ernie’ and I had a blast, and I think the varied musical performances by Steve and Denise, Ukbandit Graham and Lyn and Janine went down well.

I got to meet Little Evie, daveandsan ’s gorgeous great grand daughter, who smiled through it all - a Funster in the making!

Another sunny day tomorrow - and, who knows, we may win the raffle!

Who could want for more!

Firstly, I’m sorry if we didn’t say goodbye to you, but we left quicker than I was expecting!

What a wonderful week it was at Wyre! The sun blazed down, the cold drinks flowed, the company was good, and the week flew by!

Thanks so much to Derek, Mary, Teresa and Malcolm for another brilliant meet. The effort put in by all of you is what makes it feel so chilled and laid back!

We will be back for Plum - so stock up on Chocolate Oranges Mary!

Arrived home safely, now busy unpacking the Motorhome before it gets too hot.
Big thanks to Derek, Mary, Teresa and Malcolm for all their hard work.
Weather was perfect and plenty of fluid was drunk, just got to give my liver a bit of a rest now.
Once again a big thanks to one and all for making it a great chilled out meet.
