We've just had our motorhome broken into & ransacked in Lowdhams,Nottingham car park! It was lunchtime and the car park was packed!! Clare, from customer services looked after us well but the two members of staff we saw before Clare were neither use nor ornament!
So! If you have to leave your vehicle in Lowdhams car park WATCH OUT!!!

I would think it very likely they have CCTV and that due to the location it would be unlikely they walked to do this, hopefully that might show odd activity or vehicle

Seems a really odd choice of location but that said you could have been parked in a supermarket car park and have it happen, it’s not really Lowdhans fault, shame they weren’t more helpful though

Replying to DavidG58, As far as we can see Lowdhams have only 1 camera which points on the entrance, the car park for caravans & Motorhomes isn’t covered, this part of the car park is separated from the main road only by bushes and a ditch. Inside the ‘van there was so much mud it was obvious they’d not driven in. The police have been in touch to tell us that Lowdhams cctv didn’t show anything but we would have appreciated a call from Lowdhams themselves.

that's really annoying and probably did more damage / cost to repair in breaking in, than they got in stolen goods value :(

11yrs, but many years a tugger.

Regretfully Lowdhams are not allowed to tell you anything. Data protection and all that. All they can do is place a copy of the recording into a police evidence bag which is sealed before it leaves the room in which the recorder is kept.

That’s why home CCTV systems, whilst helpful to the police have little value in a actual court, because the defence will immediately claim that it was not stored properly, could have been tampered with etc.

What an awful thing to happen to you, be interesting to know if it's the first time it's happened there ?
As an aside, I found the robbers at Lowdham's in Huddersfield, worked behind the counter.

They will probably be back to rob again and hopefully someone will catch them in the act and they can be brought to justice
