Yesterday morning we decided to have a short trip away. We eventually decided to go to a campsite at Fortuna and on the way to climb a via ferrata (metal highway using cables and metal rungs). We arrived at the parking area for the vf about 11.15 and set off for the climb.

The route goes up there!

After lunch, and siesta!, we drove to Fortuna. We arrived at the campsite but decided not to stay as it was too busy! Instead we decided to drive to Ricote to check out the newly opened Motorhome parking area.

We were using Co-Pilot for the first time and from Fortuna it wanted to send us on an almost 60km route instead of the 18km direct route to Archena. Of course we ignored it and made our own way towards Ricote. Co-Pilot eventually agreed with us the nearer we got to our destination. Any suggestions as to what went wrong! We had it set for a Motorhome and changed it to car in case that made a difference but it was the same whatever we tried.

We eventually arrived at the camperstop in Ricote. It's a work in progress but the services are there and some marked parking bays. The area is well signed but you can't miss it, just head for the giant pencils!

We had a stroll around the village.

Just checking where you are, Fortuna:

That's where we were. We wanted to go west to Archena. Co-Pilot wanted to take us east to Abanilla then south to the motorway to Murcia then up the motorway past Molina and then to Archena.

Co-pilot, I am sure I warned you it has some funny ideas now and again, although yours sounded like a big detour.

I have just tried a route from Fortunate to Archena and get the message "co-pilot cannot plan a route" I have my vehicle setting on MH/RV.

Nice photos though and looks lovely, don't think I would get Jen on a walk that needed a tin hat though.

Couldn't fault Co-Pilot on the way to the parking area to do the Via ferrata. The problems started from there to Fortuna when it wanted to use tracks and then ignored the road to Fortuna wanting to use another track instead!

Then from Fortuna we had the problem already described.

Maybe just a 'black hole" area!!!

Coming home from Ricote it was faultless again!
