Hi,
Well I better be honest and tell you that for 40 odd years I have always sworn that I would never ever be seen dead in a caravan, or in deed a motorhome.
But here I am!
I blame retirement and boredom.
I spent many years as an international trucker and a couple of years living on a narrowboat, so I am well used to living life in confined spaces with a lack of amenities.
When I retired I moved to Hungary where most things are cheaper, especially property. so I bought a large house just as they say 'because I could'.
It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it is amazing how soon having to walk so far to the kitchen for a cup of tea or the walk upstairs and from the bathroom to the bedroom gets to be irritating, Oh! did I forget to mention I am also inherently lazy!
So I have bought a second hand Benimar, 4 years old but only 20Km on the clock.
To prove I am a total novice, I was impressed with the 'as new' quality and totally failed to notice the previous owner had removed everything he could, solar panels, TV and dish, gas bottles, electric cable, hose pipe, you name it he took it!
So now I am busy making a shopping list.
But will go camping as soon as the van is again fit for purpose.

Hi and :welcome4:.

I've also done the big house ( in France) So much cleaning! And in winter used 2 rooms and a bathroom.
You'll enjoy your motorhome when you get going in it. I lived in my Benimar for almost 2 years. Loved it!

Hi and :welcome3:,what a nice intro.
As another former International trucker you will have no problem with Motorhome life, well not as soon as you replace all the "nicked bits"

Damn! look at all these nice warm friendly welcomes I am getting.
And I was so planning on being the miserable, grumpy anti social git.
Oh well a big warm thank you to all those kind enough to say 'Hi'

Thanks, not too worried about the smaller stuff, and I would have to change the gas anyway it's a different fitting here, bit annoyed at having to add the expense of a new tv though.

There are a few cheap TV's about but "small" is limited in choice and likely pricey.

Hungary is on our list of places to visit once we 1. have a motorhome and 2. move to France later this year (assuming we're not completely messed up by brexit :banghead:)

If there is a TV in our MH it's coming straight out. It would interfere with our planned drunken conversation :D.
