I think you will have to take the door off, strip it down completely including removing the edge trim. Then inject adhesive in from the side & where the door handle was then ideally put it in a press but you could probably makeup something with timber and G clamps.
It may not be that successful if the aluminium has stretched.

I am sure the skin has stretched I think easing the door frame to allow the door skin to shrink back may not be an option.

Aluminium doesn't shrink back. I doubt if you will ever manage a complete repair I think what I suggested is the best option & if it's still a bit ripply may be able to hide it with some graphics.
The only other option is to re-skin it.

Graphics. Yes that could be the way to go.

now open to suggestions of what the swift a
or sundance logo will not fit.

Same thing happened to my 1997 Swift Sundance door and the only remedy open to me was to have the door replaced - if you can find one! It cost me £1200 back in 2007 to have it done and the repairer let me have the door at cost to him as it was so expensive! Best of luck with yours and I hope you can get it repaired. Oh yes, that was the final straw with my dalliance with Swift; that MH was nothing but expense from day 1 with more quality problems than I care to remember - how about using masking tape to hold in the seat belt mounting bolt when the thread had been stripped, or the delimitation of the door furniture within 6 months of delivery, or, or, or..............

Sounds a bit like a night shift special you bought.

but a used one should have most of the major things sorted out. Thus leaving the niggley bits.

I too have some bits to sort out but because i bought it cheapish I do not mind sorting a few bits out.

least I know more and more about the motorhome everyday..
would I buy it again yes. So long as could get it for the same price.

Not had an issue like that but as a cheap fix without replacing the door I would opt to cut s horizontal line across the main bulge to the food handle( take off the handle surround temporarily) press the lower side down with a descent epoxy glue underneath.
Squeeze down the bubbles in the top section, may need glue to the underside requiring the side trim to be taken off. Then the same above the cut line where the major bubble is but you may need to trim off extra near the line to fit in an aluminium edging strip( double sided)
Wouldn't cost much ,just your time and would ,I think ,look ok afterwards.
Probably best to take the door off to do this but may work in situ.

On another note ,have you considered putting in a window panel in the door .some modern vans have them for ideas.

With regard to the graphics.. when i purchased a brand new swift caravan that suffered damp, i suggested to swift's director Andy Spacey that swift should change their logo from a bird to a dolphin.... he was not amused :xrofl:

Been unable to find a replacement door. I did find one that was worse than my one.

I thought about buying it and seeing what I could do with it but at £500. I thought better Of it.
I will stick with what I have.

Seen some a lot worse…

cut out the bulge in the outer skin and fill the hole smooth, then dismantle the door and reskin with thin aluminium sheet boded to the original. Clamp flat till set then re-assemble with a bead of sealant to ensure no leaks

It is something I have been thinking about.

Is the door not working as a door? Is it draft free , locks and is not letting in water? If so it ain't broke don't fix it.
It's character :giggle:

There are motorhome door windows on ebay
Been there and some of the breakers.
other breakers are looking for me .

I have been told don’t hold your breath.

I don’t seem to have any damp and i have been looking everywhere.
and monitoring as well.
Great, all Marques suffer from problems from time to time. You have only to read the threads for the individual makes to realise that.

It has always been fashionable to “knock” British manufacturer, including Autotrail and Swift, (which we own). Despite the knocking we are on our fifth Swift as we have found them pretty trouble free. Most of the “knocking” is done tongue in cheek although there are a few people who can’t seem to leave it alone.

Enjoy your Motorhome, gain from the experience of members of the Forum, (we certainly have), and ignore the knockers. The most important thing about any motorhome is to use it, not leave it standing in storage.(y)
