A question for Lenny HB

I have just purchased 2 Varta LFD90 Leisure batteries to replace my existing one's which have seen better days.
When fitting them do I connect each battery in turn + and - or do I connect them both at the same time i.e. ++ and then --. And when I fit the new batteries is there anything I should be mindful of. The van is a Rapido A class with a 120watt solar panel and a STCC10 charger.
Thank you in advance. and a final than you for your blogs it has given us some great Aires to stay at in France and Spain.

Disconnect or cover your solar panels, connect the two batteries together. Then connect the negative feed to one battery & the positive to the other battery, then reconnect the solar panels.

Thanks for the diagram Lenny, yes I intend to wire them in parallel. The advice about covering or disconnecting the solar panel was much appreciated.

When I need to disconnect the solar panels, I do that when it’s dark. You shouldn’t disconnect them when they have load on.

Thanks for all the advice, before I do anything I will cover the solar panel and make sure the light on the STCC10 charger is not iluminated
