Evening Funsters,
Could someone please be kind enough to answer a question, regarding Austria?
Does Austria have the equivalent of Aires, or Stellpatz, as in France, and Germany, or do us Motorhomers have to use Campsites?
Many thanks.

I don't think there's anything like as many MH only stellplatze in Austria as there are aires in France. Some funsters have used the MH only camper stop in Vienna, we opted for a campsite on the outskirts at Klosterneuburg.

What you might find are one or two campsites that offer lower cost MH parking on tarmac as an alternative to their grass pitches - one at Innsbruck does that. We also used campsites at Salzburg and Zell Am Zee, in the absence of any Stellplatze.

Quite a few Stellaplatz and quite a few carparks for walkers up in the mountains you can overnight in.
Warning take your dash cam out, big fines for using them.
