A lot of us have been to Bridlington and stayed at the ship inn at sewerby. Well it looks like we will not be stopping off there any more. Which is a shame as we like the view. But they have put up there price to £40 pn and they will give you back £20 if you spend in there pub . I know we all have to make a shilling but a bit too rich for us saddley.

£40? plus spending in the pub? What a rip off. We won't be going there either

So,it’s £20 plus your meal in the pub, which you might have had anyway?
Or,depending on the price of the grub,it’s £40 for a meal and parking.
Seems fair to me.

If you are in Britstops it’s nothing to park, plus whatever you spend in the pub. No brainer. :)

£20 seems a lot to stay in a pub car park with no facilities but I can understand £20 refundable when buying a meal. I use Brit Stops and always make sure I spend in the pubs I stay at.

Yes it has they have emailed me to say it’s gone up we stayed lots but there is nothing only parking and a water tap at side of pub . It’s a sham as we like to go but for that money we would go for a nice site at £40 I like to eat in a lot and not be forced to buy food.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
I do think that if a pub lets you stay on their land , the motorhomers should eat in there or at least have a few drinks.
If I owned a pub I’d expect travelers to spend at the very least £10/£15
Or pay a fee for camping.
I know some people abuse the britstops scheme . These will end up spoiling it for others. So cheeky turning up , sitting in their van drinking their own booze and eating their own food. If I owned a pub and folk did that , I’d soon leave the scheme.
